I'm here to share some British comfort food and hopefully do a little to fix our infamous and, in my humble opinion, undeserved culinary reputation!
I've been cooking since I was 12, which was a saving grace at university. I came to Japan in September 2012 and I've found a number of ways to make authentic tasting food from home using simple and cheap Japanese ingredients, common kitchen tools, and Japanese kitchen appliances.
As Japan and Britain are both tea loving, island based monarchies with famously reserved people, I've always felt they were like twins separated at birth. So I hope you come to enjoy the food of Japan's long lost European twin.
