Hello, I'm Roberto I am Italian and I love cooking.
First thing that impressed me when I first came to Japan in summer 2016 was food. There is a whole world other than sushi and sashimi, I was intrigued. The variety of dishes, the quantity of products, the attention paid to quality impressed me: it is so similar to the Italian food culture!
I started cooking when I was a boy. I learned from looking my mother preparing the everyday meals and the special dinners; eating food from different region of Italy (I lived in Venice, Florence, Rome) increased my taste and my knowledge about different food and ingredients and the different ways to cook them.
I love traveling and "taste" different cultures. My first step into new cultures when I travel both for holidays and business is through food. I always try to take some cooking lessons. That's why when I first met TADAKU I've fallen in love with it: to learn and to teach cooking from all over the world is the best cultural exchange.
Inviting people, friends and family at home is central to our culture and the best way to be together is to share a meal.
I'm sure we will enjoy cooking together.
